Life story View WebTribute Berniece L. (Eaglin) Turner, 81, of Madison, Indiana passed away at 6:13 A.M., on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. Born November 3, 1922 in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of John T. and Sylvia (Alexander) Eaglin, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Turner was also preceded in death by her husband Earl Turner; a daughter, Carolyn "Midge" Frost on April 4, 2003; and a brother, Roscoe Eaglin. Mrs. Turner retired from the Tack Factory; and she also worked for Conn Organ in Madison for 25 years. Mrs. Turner is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas E. Turner and his wife Jane of Madison, Indiana, and Robert C. Turner and his wife Donna of Hanover, Indiana; two sisters, Ann Noblett of Columbus, Indiana, Evelyn Lucas of Columbus, Indiana; four brothers, Kenneth Eaglin of New Washington, Indiana, Eugene Eaglin of Dayton, Ohio, John Robert Eaglin of Ocala, Florida, Richard Eaglin, of Madison, Indiana; eight grandchildren, John Turner, Diana Kernen, James Earl Turner, Charles Robert Turner, Robert C. Turner, Jr., Dee Dee Courtney, Joe David Frost, Deborah Hayes. Pastor Marsha Rodenberger will conduct funeral services at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Lytle-Gans Funeral Home, 423 West Main Street, with burial to follow at Springdale Cemetery. Friends and family may gather from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday, June 4, 2004 and after 11 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the Lytle-Gans Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the St. John's United Church of Christ. Contribution cards will be available at the funeral home.
