Betty Sue (Alderson) Fix

Life story Betty Sue Alderson Fix, age 79, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Hanover Health and Rehab in Hanover. Born July 7, 1939 in Paducah, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Joseph V. and Agnes (Self) Alderson. Betty attended the Barnes Hospital School of Nursing in Saint Louis, Missouri and retired after being a nurse for forty-five years. She enjoyed riding horses and loved gardening, especially working with her roses. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Robin J. Sloane and her husband, David of Milton, Kentucky; her son, James V. Fix and his wife, Genevieve of Stevensville, Montana; her sisters: Mary Jo Sturm of Corpus Christi, Texas and Judy Schenker and her husband, Michael of Marietta, Georgia; her grandchildren: Jonathan Horman and his wife, Leona of Berry, Kentucky and Morgan McConnell and her husand, David of Georgetown, Kentucky; her great-grandchildren: Elijah Zagaruyka, Steven Powell, and Loralynn Horman; her nieces and nephews: Christie, Joey, Dean Allen, Melody, Sami, and Terri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes Alderson; her sister, Peggy Adams; and her brother-in-law, Harold Sturm. At her request, no services will be held. Bettys family would like to thank the staff of Hanover Health & Rehab who became their family and friends. Memorial contributions be made to the Henry-Trimble County Humane Society.
