Beulah Curl Obituary

Life story Beulah Mae Zehr Curl, age 87, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on April 27, 1932 in Birdseye, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Theodore and Anna Zehr. She spent her early years on the family farm helping take care of her younger siblings. As a young adult, she worked at Central State Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana and then moved back home, where she worked briefly as a car hop at Rips Drive-In. She was united in marriage to Peter Curl on July 15, 1955, and this union was blessed with three sons and three daughters. For many years, she stayed home to raise their growing family until 1974 when she returned to work at Madison State Hospital until her retirement in 1994. Beulah enjoyed reading, studying her Bible, doing crossword puzzles, sitting on her swing, watching the birds and most importantly, spending time with her loving family. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her granddaughters. Beulah committed her life to Christ through baptism on July 17, 2015, in front of her sisters and daughters. Beulah entered heaven on Monday, January 13, 2020, peacefully while surrounded by her family. Beulah will be missed by her children: Earl and his wife, Dianna of Spring, Texas, Carol and her husband, Joe of Dupont, Indiana, Tim and his wife, Hazel of Madison, Mark and his wife, Karen of Mason, Ohio, and Edna and Carmen of Madison; her grandchildren: Angela, Kortney, Rylee, and Emily; and several great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brother, Elvis Zehr (Alice), and her sisters: Janice Wright, Mildred Geisler, Edna Bolden (Harold), Norma Porter, and Connie Wooldridge (Larry); her sisters-in-law: Joyce Zehr, Mayme Mix (Tom), Georganna Curl, and Sheila Curl; her brother-in-law: Herb Curl, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Peter who died on January 30, 1979, her sisters: June Norman and Carol Zehr, her brothers: Clyston Zehr and Richard Zehr, and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Reverend Larry Wooldridge will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2020, at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison.
