Dean Alan Monroe

Life story Dean Alan Monroe, age 54, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his residence in Madison. Born June 8, 1964, in Batesville, Indiana, he was the son of Robert E. "Bob" and Sherry (Block) Monroe. Dean was a 1983 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. Over the years, he had worked at several businesses including Chandler Chevrolet and most recently, North Vernon Industry Corporation Cullman Casting. At times, his family would attend First Baptist Church in Madison. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his parents, Bob and Sherry Monroe of Madison; his wife, Jennifer Monroe; his children: McKenzie, Nathan, Destiny, Robert Alan, Junior, and Jackson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Louis Block and Jean Block, and his paternal grandparents, Bob and Norine Monroe. Pastor Robby King will conduct funeral services at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison's Hilltop, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, June 2, 2019. The family requests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
