Helen J. (Garrison) Freeman

Life story Helen J. Freeman, 86, of Madison, Indiana, and daughter of the late Vollie and Anna Catherine (Nicholson) Garrison, was born February 16, 1933, in Lawrenceport, IN. She attended school in Mitchell, Indiana before moving to Madison. She was united in matrimony to William Freeman on April 12, 1952 in Bedford, Indiana. She enjoyed watching birds and was a hummingbird fanatic and loved crafts, knitting, sewing and crocheting. She collected beanie babies. She passed away July 18, 2019 at Hickory Creek at Madison. Her life will be cherished by her children: Jill Freeman, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and David Freeman, of Madison; her grandchildren, Anna Kietzman, and Samantha Dafft; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Freeman. The funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday July 22, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, Madison, Indiana with interment to follow in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2019. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
