Life story View WebTribute James T. Ford, 85, of Madison, IN passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. He was born March 27, 1919 in Jefferson County, Indiana, the son of Frank and Hattie (McCall) Ford, who preceded him in death. He was married to Jennie Boyd on May 27, 1945. His wife also preceded him in death. Mr. Ford was a Lifelong farmer in Jefferson County. He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II serving as a Staff Sergeant in England. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Jefferson Post #9, and a lifetime member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post #1969. SURVIVORS Survivors include six nieces: Norma Jean Scudder of Louisville, Aileen C. Meier of Columbus City, IN, Diana McLaughlin of Titusville, FL, Barbara Stahl of Franklin, IN, Marilyn Wehner of Madison, Joan Wehner of Madison, seven nephews: William Holcroft of Madison, Ernest Clashman of Middleton, IN, William Clashman of Sterling Heights, MI, David Clashman of Batesville, IN, Kenneth Wehner of Madison, James Wehner of Madison, Thomas Wehner of Madison; his aunt, Wilma Cole of Louisville; and a cosin, Arnold Ford of deputy. In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn J. Ford Wehner, and an infant brother, Kenneth Ford. SERVICES Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2004 at Lytle-Gans Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Dupont Cemetery. The Honor Guard from American Legion, Jefferson Post #9, will conduct military graveside services. VISITATION Friends and family may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Lytle-Gans Funeral Home and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday July 5, 2004.
