Life story Larry Dean Wilson, age 56, of Brooksburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Born July 27, 1962 in San Diego, California, he was the son of Lawrence Joe Wilson and Arlene May (Simpson) Schumacher. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Valhalla High School in El Cajon, California. Following graduation, he served for six years in the United States Army. On August 26, 1989, he was united in marriage to the former Susette Stevens in Pioneer, California. He and his wife moved to Madison in February 2000 from El Cajon. He was currently employed by Arvin Sango in Madison as a quality control specialist where he had worked for the past nineteen years.He was a member of the American Legion Post 185 in Vevay, Indiana, and formerly served as a volunteer fireman for Milton Township Volunteer Fire Department and Ryker's Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, both in Jefferson County. Previously, he served as an assistant chief for Rykers Ridge. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Susette; one daughter: Sheena Menard and her husband, Travis of Bellview, Nebraska; three sons: Travis Wilson of Louisville, Kentucky, Cody Wilson of Madison, and Shane Wilson and his wife, Heather of Vevay; his mother and step-father, Arlene and Norman Schumacher of Grants Pass, Oregon; his father and step-mother, Lawrence and Joan Wilson of Vevay; one sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Larry Guerechit of Santee, California; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Charlotte Wilson of Pine Valley, California; nine grandchildren: Allie, Caleb, Sienna, Jaxon, Emmalyn, Wyatt, Wayde, Thatcher and expecting Liam Briar in October; his mother-in-law, Sharon Stevens of Madison; his brother-in-law, Scott Stevens and his wife, Tracy of Madison; and several nieces and nephews. At his request, no services will be held. Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, is in charge of the arrangements.
