Marcia L. (Wells) Dunlap

Marcia L. Dunlap, age 52, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Born July 29, 1967 in York, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Jerry and Sandra Wells. She was a graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and began working as a nurse's aide at King's Daughters' Hospital. She was formerly employed by Broadway Hotel & Tavern and Madison Precision Products, Inc. For the past ten years, she was a correctional officer at the Madison Correctional Facility. Following high school, she married Mark Dunlap in Milton, Kentucky, and they have spent the last thirty-two years together. Marcia enjoyed traveling especially to the beach, playing games online, and spending time outside and with her granddaughters.

Her life will be cherished by her husband, Mark of Madison; her sons: Damien Perry and his wife, Bridgette, Jarin Dunlap, and Jordon Dunlap, all of Madison; her granddaughters: Brynleigh and Aurora Perry of Madison; her parents, Jerry and Sandra Wells of Wellton, Arizona, her brothers: James Wells and his wife, Julie, of Evansville, Indiana and Jerry Wells and his wife, Jess, of Atlanta, Georgia; her sisters-in-law: Pam Harris and her husband, Jamie, Diane Simpson, and Sue Barnes, all of Madison; her nieces and nephews: Lexi, Lena, Lyndi, Lisa, Cheyenne, Kris, Shannon, Brittany, Lori, Ryan, and Ross; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandma, Ellen Goodman; her brothers-in-law, Larry "Bubba" Dunlap, Mike Simpson, and Louie Barnes; and her nephews, Shawn Andrew and Jeff Whittaker.

Marcia's brother, Pastor James Wells, will conduct funeral services at 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's Hilltop with cremation to follow. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 3:00 PM until time of service on Tuesday.
