Mr. Michael Kent Hublar, age 53, of Madison, Indiana passed away at 12:08 AM, on Sunday, August 29, 2004 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. Born July 9, 1951 in Floyd County, Indiana, he was the son of Maurice and Peggy (Huffman) Hublar. His father preceded him in death on August 18, 1996 and his mother on July 14, 1999. Mr.Hublar was employed as a driver for Jenner, Auxier and Jacobs Law Firm. He was former employee of American Commercial Frei9ght Barge Lines of Jeffersonville and the once owned Hublar family business, the Historical Broadway Hotel. Known throughout the area for his art, Mr. Hublar was a modern artist and an avid photographer. He was an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a Kentucky Colonel. He was of the Methodist Faith. Mr. Hublar is survived by his sister, Beth Hublar Hepler and her husband Jim of Bennettsville, SC; a niece Amy Beth Hepler of Myrtle Beach, SC; two nephews, James "Jamie" Hepler of Asheville, NC and Matthew Hepler of Bennettsville, SC; two aunts and a uncle. The Reverend Vickie Perkins will conduct the funeral service at 2:00 PM EST on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at the Saint Patrick's Cemetery. Friends and family may gather from 5:00 to 8:00 PM EST on Wednesday, September 1, and from 1 to 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday September 2 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice or the Madison Riverfront Development Project. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
