Ora Ellen Withered

Life story Mrs. Ora Ellen Withered, age 65, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2004 at her residence. Born December 17, 1938 in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of Howard and Violet Justice, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edwin D. Withered on January 3, 2002; one daughter, Kathy Shinkle; one brother, Ben Justice; and one sister, Mae Justice. . Mrs. Withered was the owner and operator of Ora's Gift Shop in downtown Madison for many years. Survivors include three sons: Steve Davies of Medford, New York, Greg Withered of Madison, Jeff Withered of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and; one daughter, Patty White of Cross Plains, Indiana; one brother, Leo Justice of Milan, Indiana; four sisters: Anita Steele of Milan, Nina Davies of Dillsboro, Indiana, Elaine Gray of Elrod, Indiana and Bessy Lamkin of Milan, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren and thee great grandchildren. Reverend Robert Leach will conduct funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 29, 2004 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Moores Hill, Indiana. Friends may call at Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 P.M. today, July 28, 2004 and after 10:00 A.M. tomorrow. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Jefferson County Youth Shelter. Cards will be available at the funeral home.
