Adam Grover
Davis, Sr.
February 14, 1943 – September 3, 2021
Adam Grover Davis, Sr., age 78, of Madison, Indiana and the son of the late Roy and Ruby (Wolfschlag) Davis, was born on February 14, 1943, in Madison. He was a graduate of Shawe Memorial High School. In October 1960, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in April 1962. For many years, he was the owner and operator of Frog's Bar in Madison. In his spare time, he was a collector card dealer, sold used furniture, and enjoyed playing pool and cards. Mr. Davis passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
His life will be cherished by his children: Adam Davis and his wife, Tammie, of Lexington, Indiana, Debbie Lockridge, of Madison, Kim DeBoard, of Madison, Venus Wilson and her husband, Chad, of Rockville, Indiana, and Troy Davis, of North Vernon, Indiana; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and four nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Kessler.
Reverend David Leland will conduct funeral services at 6:00 PM Friday, September 10, 2021 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 4:00 PM until the time of the service on Friday.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Jefferson County Veterans Council. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
