Allen Paul Pitcher, age 65, of Scottsburg, Indiana, and the son of the late James and Juanita Pitcher, was born on December 9, 1957, at the Mary Sherman Hospital in Sullivan, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, smoking cigars, sitting on the front porch watching people go by, listening to old time country music, wearing his red cowboy boots, and watching Westerns on television. He also loved ice tea and hamburgers from McDonald's. He was a very comical and quirky man, who had quite a sense of humor at times. Mr. Pitcher passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Hickory Creek at Scottsburg.

His life will be cherished by his guardian of 23 years, Debbe Staker of Lexington, Indiana; and the wonderful caretakers at the Hickory Creek at Scottsburg who provided dignity and the upmost quality of care to him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his behavioralist, Marsha Phillips who he truly loved and was dearly loved by.

Mr. Pitcher's wishes were to be cremated and to be inurned at the Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana.
