Life story Anita J. Abrams Hammond, age 40, of Versailles, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2008 at her residence. She was born on March 5, 1967 in Salem, Indiana, the daughter of Ovie and Paula Abrams. She was a former resident of Madison, and graduated from high school in Wayne City, Illinois. Her memberships included the Church on the Rock in Versailles. Survivors include two sons: Jake Cottril of Wayne City, Illinois, and Jeremy Cottrill of Centralia, Illinois; her father, Ovie Abrams of Carrollton, Kentucky; two sisters: Jenni Abrams of Carrollton, and Sandy Meadows and her husband, Steve of Carrollton; two brothers: Tim Abrams and his wife, Darla of Wayne City, and Keith Abrams of Carrollton; and five nephews and two nieces. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hammond; her mother, Paula Abrams Jacobs and one niece. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Roger Dean at 1:00PM Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in the Bedford, Kentucky, IOOF Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 11:00AM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Anita J. Hammond Memorial Fund.
