Life story Mrs. Annis Rosalie Baugh, age 92, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Hickory Creek of Madison. She was born on March 18, 1921 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of Hugh and Birdie (Gobin) McCartney. Mrs. Baugh resided in Scott County, Indiana until 1996 when she moved to Hanover. She retired from the former US Shoe Corp. in Madison, where she worked for several years and was of the Baptist faith. She assisted her late husband on the farm with tobacco, catering to the farm helpers. She had formerly worked for the Colwell Grocery Store in Blocher, Indiana. She was a huge Indiana University basketball fan, and especially a fan of Bobby Knight. She had a love for dogs, crocheting and sewing. Survivors include one son, William "Bill" Baugh and his wife, Shirley of Martinsville, Indiana; one sister, Shirley McCartney of Terre Haute, Indiana; her daughter-in-law, Verliss Baugh of Madison; and four grandchildren: Angelia Rogers and her husband, Glenn of Madison, Becky McKinney and her husband Randy, and Karen Griffin and her husband Todd, all of Martinsville, and John Baugh of Kansas City, Missouri; and nine great-grandchildren: Colin and Gabriel Deaton, Justin, Hallie, and Leah Griffin, Kevin and Casey McKinney, and Aiden and Riley Baugh. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Baugh in January 1993, and to whom she was married on December 24, 1934; one son, Robert "Bob" Baugh, Jr. in 2006; and eight sisters and brothers: Edith, Leslie, Jesse, Wilbur, Bessie, Patrick, Gladys and Norma. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Scaffold Lick Baptist Church Cemetery near Blocher, Indiana. Friends and family may call at Lytle Funeral Chapel from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday.
