Life story Mrs. Betty Jean Driskell, age 79, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour. She was born on April 22, 1935 in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of Percy and Virginia (Franklin) Denning. Mrs. Driskell was a graduate of Madison High School, and retired in 2009 as the manager of the Prestwick Ivy Apartments in Madison. Previously, she worked for Scott Realty and Perin Scott Insurance Company. She moved to Seymour six years ago, and enjoyed reading, working with flowers, and crocheting. Survivors include two daughters: Vicki Knowles and her husband, Charles, of Madison, and Melissa Robbins of Seymour; one sister, Mary Sproessig and her husband, William of Hope, Indiana; three grandchildren: Sean Tingle, Tyler Melton and Andrew Melton and his companion Devin Branch; and two great grandchildren: Madison and Owen Melton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Driskell on August 26, 2003, and to whom she was married on January 6, 1973; her son-in-law, Greg Robbins; and one sister. The Reverend Robert Leach will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
