Life story Mrs. Betty Anne (Horine) Hatchell, age 74, of Madison, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the Davis Elderly Care in Hanover. Born October 31, 1937 in Bethlehem, Indiana, she was the daughter of Elmer and Mary (Newton) Horine. Mrs. Hatchell graduated in 1955 from New Washington, Indiana, High School. During her lifetime, she was a licensed beautician, the office manager for the former Madison Winn-Dixie grocery, and cake decorator for the former Foods Plus Bakery. She retired in 1999. She enjoyed painting with oil, especially barns, and was a former member of the Madison Art Club. She was very active with and loved her grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Charles E. "Charlie" Hatchell of Hanover; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Joe Mack of Madison; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. "Eddie" Hatchell on June 3, 2012, and to whom she was married on September 24, 1955; one sister, Patsy Wolf and one brother, Bobby Horine. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
