Life story Beverly L. Bright Dowling, of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, Kentucky. She was born on August 21, 1944, in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of Rev. Leonard and Wilma Louise (Fox) Bright. Mrs. Dowling was a graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and a member of the Milton Wesleyan Church where she was a song leader for 10 years. She began working at Frisch's Restaurant in Madison during high school. This is where she met her husband. She sold Home Interiors for 14 years, worked at Conn Organ for 10 years, Joyce Shoe Company for 14 years, and drove a school bus for 10 years for the Trimble County School System. She was co-owner of P.D. Excavating with her husband, Paul, and loved gardening, flowers, watching and feeding fish, mowing grass, baking, cooking, and especially being a mother. Survivors include her husband, Paul H. Dowling, to whom she was married for almost 45 years; one son, Greg Dowling and his wife, Linnatta, of Bedford, Kentucky; two daughters: Kathy L. Morris and her companion, Dan Leffen of Edgewater, FL. and Lisa L. Stewart and her companion, Boyden Docan of Milton; one sister: Etta McKeand of Madison; and four grandchildren: Bethany Fugate, Jessica Morris, Joshua Stewart and Brody Fugate . She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Ben Colburn at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at the Milton Wesleyan Church. Interment will follow in Moffett Cemetery in Milton. Family and friend may gather for viewing from 4 to 9 P.M. Saturday, May 5, 2007 and on Sunday from noon until 2:30 P.M. at the Milton Wesleyan Church. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Milton Wesleyan Church.
