Bobby Ray "Mickey" Ellis, age 78, of Hanover, Indiana, and the son of the late William Henry and Mozella (Bennett) Ellis, was born on December 7, 1944, in Henderson, North Carolina. Throughout his life, he was a true tradesman being skilled in carpentry, plumbing, and roofing. He was also an automotive mechanic for a period of time. On September 12, 2011, he was united in marriage to DeLinda (Wheeley) Machado in North Carolina. He lived his whole life in Henderson, North Carolina until these last few years when they relocated to the southern Indiana area. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting, being outdoors, building and tinkering with things around the house, and watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr.. He was quick with a kind word and never looked down on anyone. Mr. Ellis passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. His life will be cherished by his wife DeLinda, of Hanover; and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents. At this time, no services will be held.
