Obituary

Life story Mrs. Bonita L. "Bonnie" Cheatham, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Saturday December 16, 2006 at her residence. She was born March 2, 1931 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Edmond and Lina Lynn (Gee) Ruland. Mrs. Cheatham graduated from Zanesville High School in 1949 moved to Madison and married Edward "Bardo" Cheatham in December 1956. She was a secretary for the Madison State Hospital from 1956 until 1960 and for the Spencer J. Schnaitter Law Office from 1961 until 1989, at which time she retired to stay home with Bardo. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her many friends. Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Soule of Casper, Wyoming; a brother in law, Thomas "Tuck" Cheatham of Madison and several nieces and nephews including Lynn Soule Martin of Casper, Wyoming and William Freeman Soule of Frisco, Texas. Mrs. Cheatham was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on January 31, 1991; a sister, Betty Ruland in 1985; and a brother, William Ruland, who was killed in the war in 1943. Reverend Robert Leach will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM, Wednesday December 20, 2006 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Springdale Cemetery.
