Life story Bonnie Lou Short, age 58, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. Born February 4, 1958 in Covington, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Carl and Gladys (Kelley) Short. She had attended Madison Schools and had worked at the Madison State Hospital. Bonnie loved and enjoyed her family and friends. She liked playing bingo, and riding her chair with her best friend Donna Young. She will be missed by her daughter, Heather Short of Madison; her son, Elvis Kirby of Madison; her sister and brother-in-law, Della and Donald Callis of Madison; her brother, Rex Short of Madison; her companion, Norman Jones of Madison; her grandson, Lucas Kirby of Madison; four nephews: Jack Edwards, Jr., Holden Short, Rex Short, Jr., and Micah Short; two nieces, Amanda Thomas and Amber Singleton; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Carol Short and Jenny Short; three brothers: Neville, Stewart, and James Short and one niece, Monica Edwards. Brother Joel Almaroad will conduct funeral services at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel with interment to follow in Springdale Cemetery, Madison, Indiana. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 PM Friday, March 11, and from 9 to 10 AM Saturday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Bonnie Short Memorial Fund, in care of Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
