Life story Mr. Carleton E. Hargis, age 103, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2006 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. He was born on November 21, 1903 in Corydon, Indiana, the son of Margaret Hargis. Mr. Hargis was retired from Ashland Oil Company. Survivors include one daughter, Dr. Betty J. Hargis of Newton, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife, the former Alice Davis, and one brother. No services or visitation is planned.
