Life story Carol E. Hawk, age 63, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. She was born on October 10, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Arthur and Janet Thompson Edmond. Mrs. Hawk was a graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis, where she was raised. She also attended Ball State University. She and her husband moved to Madison in 2005 from Patriot, Indiana and was a homemaker. Mrs. Hawk was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Daughters' of the King of the Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband, John D. Hawk, whom she married on September 2, 1978 in Indianapolis; one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Richard Griner of Duncanville, Texas; one brother-in-law, James H. Hawk, III and his wife, Charlcy of Chicago, two nephews and nieces-in-law: Steven and Griselda Griner of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Robert and Allison Griner of Bethesda, Maryland; one niece and nephew-in-law: Jennifer and John Nesbit of Coppell, Texas; two nephews, James H. Hawk, IV and Benjamin Hawk, both of Chicago; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. The Reverend Richard Draper conducted memorial services at 11:00 AM Monday, November 5, 2007 at Christ Episcopal Church. Inurnment took place in The Columbarium at Christ Episcopal Church. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Christ Episcopal Church or the Hospice of King's Daughters' Hospital. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home or church.
