Life story Carol H. Thur, age 50, of Madison, formerly of Fairfax, Virginia, passed away Thursday February 17, 2005 at her residence. Born November 12, 1954 in Seattle, Washington, she was the daughter of Ralph A. and Monique F. (Orion) Thur. Ms. Thur worked as a waitress for most of her life. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion, Jefferson Post 9 and was an avid dog lover. Survivors include her mother, Monique of Madison; a brother, James P. Thur of Madison; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph, on April 10, 1972 and a brother, Mark H. Thur in October, 1995. A family graveside service will be held at the Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax, Virginia. Friends and family may gather at Lytle Funeral Chapel from 4 to 6 P.M. on Saturday, February 19, 2005 before Mrs. Thur is taken home.
