Life story Carole L. Kington, age 74, of Carrollton, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at her residence. She was born on May 12, 1941 in Cowlitz County, Washington, the daughter of Lloyd J. and Muriel E. (Holmberg) Vinton. Mrs. Kington retired after twenty years of service as a crime scene investigator for the City of San Bernardino, California Police Department. She and her husband also lived in Dayton, Ohio, and Burkesville and Owenton, Kentucky. She was a former member of the Quilting Guild in Burkesville and Carrollton. Survivors include her husband, Shannon C. Kington, to whom she was married on November 3, 1990 in Downey, California; two sons: Billy Menchen and his wife, Maria of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Ron Menchen and his wife, Alyssa of Owenton, Kentucky; and four grandchildren: Matthew, Ezra, and Ayden Chandler Menchen and Christine Cushman and her husband, Joey. The Reverend Frank McGee will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Monday, December 7, 2015 at Lytle Funeral Homes, Main Street Chapel, with interment to follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison.
