Life story Mrs. Carolyn J. Sentell, age 65, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Born September 17, 1944 in Madison, she was the daughter of Fred "Rack" and Carley Stoner Davis. Mrs. Sentell was a graduate of the former Central High School and a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Madison. She was a retired chef, having worked at several Madison area restaurants including the Key West Shrimp House and the former 307 Saloon and Eating Establishment, the Next-Door Lounge and the Main Grill. She enjoyed Bingo, video games, crocheting and visiting with family and friends. She loved her dogs and cat. Survivors include two daughters: Veronica G. Moore of Madison, and Tonetta Campton of Hanover; three sons: Timothy M. Davis, Clarence L. Sentell and James R. Sentell, all of Madison; three sisters: Norma Weber of Bedford, Kentucky, June Lewellyn of Carrolton, Kentucky and Alma Hedgepeth of Madison; two brothers: Duke Davis of Petersburg, Indiana and Ruben Davis of Madison; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Sentell in 1997, and to whom she was married on September 1, 1967; two sisters: Ellen Stephens and Anna Perry; and two brothers: Kiser Davis and Fred Davis, Jr. Pastor Adam Griffin will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Church of the Nazarene, Madison, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the Church of the Nazarene from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday and from 10 to 11 AM Thursday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
