Life story Mrs. Carolyn J. Vanosdol, age 66, of Madison, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2013 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. She was born on September 13, 1946 in North Vernon, Indiana, the daughter of Isaac "Ike" and Ada Vanosdol. Mrs. Vanosdol was a graduate of North Vernon High School and moved to Madison about twenty-five years ago. She was a homemaker, but worked for a time at The Madison Courier newspaper. She attended the Madison Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lorretta and Steve Bischoff of Freetown, Indiana; two cousins: Joellen Westerman of Holton, Indiana and Donna Pribble of North Vernon; one granddaughter, Ashley Davis of Seymour, Indiana; three great-grandchildren: Ryan, Lilly and Jasmine Goss; and her close friend, Jane Jacobs of Madison. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana. There will be no visitation.
