Life story Mr. Charles "Freddie" Hedgepeth, age 61, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Water of Clifty Falls in Madison. He was born on March 6, 1947, the son of Robert C. and Lucy Leathermon Hedgepeth. Mr. Hedgepeth had worked for Sandstone Industries in Madison from February 1987 until May 2008. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Jefferson Post #9, and served on the American Legion Honor Guard for more than twenty years. He also traveled a lot with the crew of the Miss Madison. Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Roger Goodin of Madison; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry, Sr. and Marion Hedgepeth of Deputy, Indiana and Charles and Helen Tingle of Madison; two nephews: David Hedgepeth and Larry Hedgepeth, Jr.; one great niece, Autumn Hedgepeth and one great nephew, Brandon Hedgepeth. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Dorothy Tingle. The Reverend Robert Leach will conduct funeral services at 1:0 PM Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call Friday, November 14, 2008 from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the Lytle Funeral Chapel.
