Lapine, Sr.
February 15, 1945 – February 27, 2021
Mr. Charles W. LaPine, Sr., age 76, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of the late William P. and Iva May (Richards) LaPine, was born on February 15, 1945, in Madison. In May of 2007, he retired from Meese Inc. after working as a machine operator for many years. In his spare time, he loved to play bingo, was quite the ladies man at Hope Manor, and was a former Eagles Lodge member. Mr. LaPine passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his residence in Madison.
His life will be cherished by his children: Rhonda Jones and her husband, Rick of Madison, Julia LaPine, of Indianapolis, Charles LaPine, Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael LaPine, of North Vernon, Indiana, and Todd Pollock, of Bedford, Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Mary Tilley, Norma Morris, Josephine Robertson, Bessie Sevier, Dorothy Geisler, Frances Covington, Margie LaPine, and Ruth Ann Stuart; and his brothers: John LaPine, William LaPine, Jim LaPine, George LaPine, and Bob LaPine.
Pastor Scott Kollmann will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
