Christine Hughes, age 70, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Arthur Dealmer and Oakley Virginia (Combs) Hughes, was born August 14, 1950, in Perry County, Kentucky. She enjoyed working at DSI Sandstone in Madison for many years. She loved listening to Gospel music, coloring, dressing her teddy bears, cooking, painting, quilting, and working in the yard. Ms. Hughes passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at her residence in Madison.

Her life will be cherished by her companion: John; her dear friends: Toni and Jonna; her daughter: Vicky Bellingham; her brother: James Hughes, of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; four half-brothers and two half-sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday. Private interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Christine's funeral and monument fund. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
