Life story Mrs. Clara M. Jewell, age 86, of Richmond, Indiana, formerly of Hanover, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Rosegate Village in Richmond. Born March 13, 1925 in Jefferson County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Nelson and Maudie May (Evans) Clemmons. She had worked in the restaurant industry as a waitress, and was a member of the Kimberlin Baptist Church in Lexington, Indiana. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Bingo, walking and being around animals, especially cats and dogs. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jamison Carrier of Greens Fork, Indiana; two sons: Kenneth Jewell, Jr. of Madison and Nelson Paswater of Scottsburg, Indiana; six grandchilchildren and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Jewell in 1977, and to whom she was married in 1962 in Madison; one daughter, Carolyn George in 1945; two sisters: Nellie Butters and Bernice Ray; one brother, James Clemmons; and one grandson. Mr. Jamison Carrier will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
