Life story Mrs. Clorene Caudill, age 92, of Dupont, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. Born April 23, 1920 in Hadley, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Johnny and Louisa Blair Whitaker. Mrs. Caudill worked at an airplane factory in Maryland and on airplane wings at the former Charlestown Ammunition Plant. Later, she served as a nurse at the Madison State Hospital and then retired after working for the Dupont State Bank. She loved sewing and gardening. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Darell G. and Karen Caudill of Dupont; one sister, Thelma Caudill of Somerset, Kentucky; one grandson, Brandon Caudill of Madison and one great granddaughter, Paige Weber. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Louisa Whitaker Cornett; her step-father, Junt Cornett; four sisters: Nora Whitaker, Dora Ida George, Virgie Dora Fillmore and Ella Mae Mitchell; one brother, George Whitaker; and one step-brother, Filmore Cornett. The Reverend Jim Caudill will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Dupont Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, June 14, 2012 and from 10 to 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.
