Life story Mr. Danny S. Koontz, age 50, of Madison, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007 at his residence. He was born on January 27, 1957 in Madison, the son of James E. and Margaret M. Kidd Koontz. Mr. Koontz was a building contractor, having owned and operated a contracting business for twenty-eight years. He also held a real estate and auctioneering license. He enjoyed several hobbies, including restoring cars, woodworking, fishing, camping, deer hunting, family and good friends. Survivors include his wife, the former Bonnie Eaves, to whom he was married on October 22, 1994; his mother, Margaret Koontz of Madison; his children: Stephanie Cosby and her husband, Steven of Madison, Jeremiah Dan Koontz and his fiancee, Brooke Garvey of Madison, Candy Moore and her fiance, Wade Roberts of Henryville, Indiana, and Steven Moore, also of Henryville; his sisters: Debbie Jacobson and her husband, Robert of Madison, Donna Lytle and her husband, Markt, of Madison, Yvonne Manning and her husband, Emmit of Milton, Kentucky, and Marta Tingle and her husband, Darren of Madison; his brothers: James Douglas Koontz and his wife, Carolyn of Madison, Donald Koontz and his wife, Janet of Commiskey, Indiana, Duane Koontz and his wife, Dawn of Commiskey, and Michael Koontz of Madison; his grandchildren, Shyann Cosby, Christopher Cosby, Nathan Lucas, Ethan Garvey, and James Koontz, due to be born in April; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Roger Dale Hearne will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Friday, March 16, 2007 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with entombment to follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, March 15, and from 9 AM until time of services on Friday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Danny S. Koontz Memorial Fund, care of Lytle Funeral Chapel. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
