Life story David Lee Abel, age 71, of Madison, Indiana passed away February 28, 2016 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. Born September 1, 1944 in Washington County, Indiana, he was the son of Horace Benton and Emma (Williams) Abel. He retired in 2007 from Reliance Electric after over 40 years of employment. He was a member of the Paynesville Christian Church and the English Lodge of Freemasons No. 622 and enjoyed fishing and tinkering with anything he could find. Surviving are his wife, the former Claudia J. Frank whom he married February 7, 1976; his son, Tim Abel of West Chester, Ohio; his brother, Richard Abel of Noblesville, Indiana; three grandsons: Blake, Keaton, and Corbin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Claver Abel. The English Lodge of Freemasons No. 622 will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Thursday March 3, 2016 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel on Michigan Road in Madison with burial to follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may gather from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday March 2, 2016 and after 10 AM Thursday at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel.
