Life story Mr. Donald Ray Hon, Sr., age 70, of Madison, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at his residence. Born June 22, 1942 in Aurora, Indiana, he was the son of Ira Raymond and Mary Alma (Holcraft) Hon. Mr. Hon was a self-employed plumber, having owned and operated Don Hon Plumbing in Madison for 45 years before his retirement in 2006. Survivors include his wife, the former Christine Cogill; three daughters: Donna Hon of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, Betty Hon of Pleasureville, Kentucky, and Loretta Hartley of Louisville, Kentucky; two sons: Danny Ray Hon of Hanover and Donald Ray Hon, Jr. of Rising Sun, Indiana; two brothers: Larry Hon of Milton, Kentucky and Danny K. Hon of Holton, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Eversman; two brothers: Billy Holton and Cliff Holton; and one granddaughter, Tonya A. Middleler. A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Saint John's United Church of Christ, Corner of Main and East Streets, Madison.
