Donald G. McClinton, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2021. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 30, 1933 to Donald K. and Ethel M. McClinton. He graduated from Miami University (Oxford, OH) in 1955. Don met Jane A. Knoebel while working for Arthur Anderson in Madison, IN. They married on April 12, 1958. He is survived by loving wife Jane; daughter, Cathy (John S.) Folk; son, D. Scott (Denise) McClinton; grandchildren, Gretchen (Jacob) Piper, D. Matthew McClinton, John M. Folk (Kyle Richards), Andrew (Lindsay) McClinton, Sarah (Michael) Lindell; and Adam McClinton (Lauren Gubosh); and 6 great-grandchildren. Don devoted himself completely to whatever he was doing. He loved his family. He had a successful work life which included E. Ohio Gas Co., National Industries Inc., Yellow Cab Co., Interlock Industries, and Skylight Thoroughbred Training Center. He was also involved on the boards of Almost Family, Bank of Louisville, Kentucky Derby Festival (1995 & 1996 Chairman), Boy Scouts of America, Bellarmine University, Jewish Hospital and Spalding College. Visitation will be on Monday, April 5th, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd. from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. A funeral mass will take place on April 6th at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Drive at 10:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Springdale Cemetery in Madison, IN at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Crusade for Children.
