Obituary

Life story Donna F. Sash, age 66, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. Born April 18, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas, she was the daughter of Martin Chester and Betty Jane (Minor) Lindsey. Mrs. Sash lived in Indiana most of her life, and was a private duty caregiver. She also had been employed at the former K-Mart store in Madison, Hillcrest Nursing Home and Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, and IVY Tech Community College in Sellersburg. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Deputy, and the Women's Auxiliary of Jefferson Post #9, American Legion, Madison. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren, and her dogs, especially Poncho. Survivors include one son, Martin Lindsey of Jeffersonville; one daughter, Shaun Prince and her husband, Ryan of Paoli, Indiana; three step-sons: Terry Sosh of Breckinridge County, Kentucky, Tony Sash and his wife, Mary of Burlington, Kentucky, and Donnie Sash and his wife, Jenny of Louisville, Kentucky; two step-daughters:Gina Hurren and her husband, Bill of Corbin, Kentucky and Lori Sash of Georgetown, Indiana; two sisters: Bonnie Fulkerson and her husband, Norman of San Antonio, and Carolyn Stivers of Louisville; twenty-three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy L. Sash, who died on July 15, 2011, and to whom she was married on December 29, 1979 in Jeffersonville; three brothers: John, Robert and David Lindsey; and two brothers-in-law. The Reverend Brad Enevoldson will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Grandview Memorial Gardens Chapel, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the Grandview Memorial Gardens Chapel from 11:00 AM until 1:00 Pm Tuesday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Open Door Baptist Church. Contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home and Grandview Chapel.
