Life story Dorothy A. Clayton, age 77, of Madison, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Born January 15, 1933, in Lakemore, Ohio, she was the daughter of Hoyt and Ora Mae Thrasher Weiss. She was a 1952 graduate of Springfield High School and continued her education at the Ohio Paralegal Institute in Cleveland, Ohio. She was an executive secretary at Bridgestone Firestone and Rubber Co. until her retirement in 1984. She moved to Madison in 2007 from Mountain Home, Arkansas and was a member of the Milheim Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio. She enjoyed music and sang with various groups. Mrs. Clayton is survived by her husband, W.C. Clayton, whom she married October 25, 1952; two brothers, James H. Weiss and Robert E. Weiss; one sister, Linda C. Warder; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, William F. Weiss. Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio. Burial was in Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio.
