Life story Dustin M. Furnish, age 24, of Madison, Indiana passed away at 3:26 AM, on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. Born June 30, 1980 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of James Patrick Furnish and Linda (Behymer) Adkinson. Dustin graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in 1998 and went on to culinary school at Sullivan University where he graduated in 2000. Since 2000, he has been a chef for the Red Pepper Deli and Cafe and also worked for the Ovo Cafe. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he had been very active in the youth group. Dustin played soccer for many years and received academic all state honors while in high school. He played goalie for his last two years of school. He was a fan of the Madison Regatta and especially the Miss Madison Race Team. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved his pets of two dogs and two cats. Dustin is survived by his mother and step-father, Linda L. and Kevin Adkinson of Madison; his father, Pat Furnish of Madison; a sister and brother-in-law, Shelly and Adam Reed of Birmingham, Alabama; his maternal grandmother, Helen Behymer of Madison; his paternal grandfather, Dave Furnish of Madison; two step-sisters, Rhea Adkinson and Laura Whitaker, both of Bedford, Kentucky; a aunt, Debbie Ford of Madison; a uncle, Dale Behymer of Madison; three cousins: Elizabeth, Chris, and Natalie Ford; and several great cousins, and great-aunts and uncles. Dustin was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary A. Furnish and his maternal grandfather, Charles G. Behymer. The Reverend Rick Fory will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 AM EST on Tuesday, October 12, at the Calvary Baptist Church with burial to follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may gather from 4:00 to 8:00 PM EST on Monday, October 11, at the Lytle Funeral Chapel and from 10 to 11 AM EST on Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church.
