Life story Mrs. Eleanor E. Owens, age 82, of Pine Grove, West Virginia, formerly of Madison, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at her residence. She was born on September 15, 1929 in Madison, the daughter of Frank and Edith Lorene (Ross) Clarkson. She was a retired cook for Hanover College and a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church near Madison. Survivors include two sons: Dennis Owens and his wife, Kathy, of Deputy, Indiana, and Edward Owens of Pine Grove, West Virginia; two daughters: Debbie Morgan and her husband, Ron, and Donna Fox, all of Pine Grove; three sisters: Betty Shelly, Marcella Ralston and her husband, John, and Wilma Austin, all of Madison; nine grandchildren: Carla, Corey, D.J., Ronald "Little Man," John, Brandi, Rhonda, Michelle and Chad; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Mary Jo; three brothers: Tony, Floyd and Jack; three sisters: Frances, Alma and Edith; one son-in-law, "P.J." Fox; and her step-father, Ray Smith. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
