Life story Mrs. Elizabeth Evans, age 85, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at her residence. She was born on March 28, 1925 in Madison, the daughter of Robert Neil and Rosetta Margaret Kloss Walker. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and a former employee of the Indiana-Kentucky Electric Corporation in Madison. She formerly attended the Hopewell Baptist Church, and enjoyed watching wrestling, embroidery, puzzles and books. She was a member of the Riverside CB Club. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Thacker of Hanover; four sisters: Emma Lou Colber, Vivian Creech, and Ruth Cole, all of Madison, and Tootsie Ballard of Ohio; one brother: Walt Walker of Madison; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William A. Evans on April 7, 1999; one son, Billy Evans; one sister, Patricia Walker and one great granddaughter, Amy Logdson. Graveside services will be conducted by Jimmy Butters at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Chapel at Grandview, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel form 4 to 6 PM Tuesday, May 25, 2010.
