Obituary

Life story Mrs. Elma Vina Morrison, age 82, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. She was born May 21, 1926 in Jefferson County, Indiana, the daughter of Jesse and Sylvia Phillips Hord. She grew up on the family farm near Deputy, Indian, graduated high school and began working for the Madison Shoe Factory. She also worked for Sandstone Workshop before retirement. Mrs. Morrison was a very loving person, and loved to do Jig-Saw puzzles and knitting. She always enjoyed the family reunions each year and going out to lunch at the Ponderosa Restaurant. She also loved her time with her friends at the Madison Senior Citizens, as well as her many friends at Liberty Christian Church where she attended until she became unable. She spent her last years at The Waters of Clifty Falls, where she had made friends with the staff and others. Surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death include her parents and two brothers, Millard and Stanley. Dale Canall, Minister at the Liberty Christian Church, will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Pisgah Cemetery, near Deputy. Friends and family may call from 5 to 7 PM Friday and from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at Lytle Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pisgah Cemetery Association.
