Life story Emily Jo Haak, age 71, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the Swiss Villa Nursing Center in Vevay, Indiana. She was born on November 14, 1934 in Fairview, Indiana. Miss Haak graduated from Madison High School and the Indiana University School of Nursing. For 42 years she worked as a registered nurse for Muscatatuck State Hospital in Butlerville, Indiana. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Women of the Moose, both in Madison. Survivors include four cousins: Gary Smith of Tuluhoma, Tennessee, Sherri Rogers of Madison, Peggy Swing of Bloomington, Minnesota and Norman Smith of Madison; and a good, close friend, Roberta Wood of North Vernon. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Haak, and her mother, Gladys Smith Potter. Private family services will be conducted by the Reverend Gregory Russell.
