Obituary

Life story Ernest Frank DeJack, age 80, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on October 3, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. DeJack served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired as an engineer with the Army Corp of Engineers. He was a member of the Catholic church, the Knights of Columbus, Elk's, Shriners, American Legion and VFW. Survivors include his wife, the former Delores Jean Zalut, whom he married in Detroit; and one nephew who cared for him, John Pietrzak of Allenton, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The Honor Guard of Jefferson Post #9, American Legion will conduct military honors. Lytle Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
