Life story Evan Lane Fillingim, age 34, of Milton, Kentucky, died Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on May 23, 1982 in Pensacola, Florida, the son of Gordon E. Fillingim and Bobbie L. Rodgers Mack. Mr. Fillingim was raised in Carroll County, Kentucky, and was a member of the Milton Christian Church. He was employed for five years with Madison Tool, Inc., Madison, as a CNC Operator. He enjoyed tinkering with his hands, and loved nature and the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, the former Kristen L. Brearton, to whom he was married on December 22, 2012 in Madison; two daughters: LeAnna R. Fillingim of Trimble County, Kentucky, and Isabella J. Taylor of Carrollton, Kentucky; two step-daughters: Elizabeth Donley and Emma Donley, both of Madison; two step-sons: C.J. Donley and Evan Donley, both of Madison; his mother Bobbie Mack and her husband, Johnny of Milton; his father, Gordon Fillingim and his wife, Vicky of Milton, Florida; three brothers: Shain Rodgers of Madison, Robert Waltz of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and David Chatham of Carrollton, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews: Angela, Brooklyn, Kaylee, Piper, Skylar, Aiden and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bob and Valeda Rodgers, and paternal grandparents, Gordon and Helen Fillingim. The Reverend Clifton Hartley will conduct funeral services at 7:00 PM Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Wood-Oakley Chapel in Milton. Private services will be held at a later date in Moffett Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Monday.
