Life story Evelyn Ann "Evie" O'Nan, age 69, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born November 19, 1942 in Trimble County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Hayden Webster and Doris Evelyn Leach Dunlap. Mrs. O'Nan was a graduate of Madison High School, and had previously managed the former Rite-Aid Pharmacy in Madison. She also previously worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and for Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana. She loved gardening, antiques and reading. Decorating her home and spending time with her grandchildren were two things she thoroughly enjoyed. Survivors include two daughters: Tanya O'Nan of Madison and Tracie O'Nan Scroggins of Greensboro, North Carolina; two brothers, Donald Dunlap of Madison and Billy Joe Dunlap of Marysville, Tennessee; one sister, Emily Grimes of Madison; and two grandchildren: Peyton Oliva Scroggins and Jackson Thomas Scroggins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Springdale Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 PM Monday, December 26 and from 9:30 to 11:00 AM Tuesday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
