Life story Mr. Lee Stucker, age 87, of Hanover, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born June 8, 1923 in Saluda, Indiana, the son of Forest Lewis "Mike" and Merida Belle (Hall) Stucker. Mr. Stucker graduated from Saluda High School in 1942, was a farmer and worked in the maintenance department at Hanover College. He enjoyed gardening, raising tobacco, and waving to his neighbors from his front porch. Survivors include his wife, the former Mildred Griffin, to whom he was married on May 29, 1943; one son and daughter-in-law, Harley and Brenda Stucker of Hanover; two grandsons: David Scott Stucker, Madison, and Michael Dale Stucker and his wife, Michelle, Madison; two sisters: Jane C. Korte of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Jessie Henley of Hanover; one brother, William Stucker of Largo, Florida; and three great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Corey and Nicole Stucker. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Louise Korte. Funeral services will be conducted by the Reverend Charlotte Nash at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 3, 2011 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Saluda. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 PM Friday, and from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the Lytle Funeral Chapel.
