Obituary

Life story Georgia Ann Gibson, the fifth of nine children of the late William Arthur and Mary Della Gibson, was born in Madison, Indiana on March 23, 1939. There she attended the historical Broadway High School. At an early age, she professed a belief in Christ, was baptized and attended Broadway Second Baptist Church where she touched many children's lives in her years of service as a Sunday School teacher. She was employed at the former Cosby's Motor Service and Grote Manufacturing, and often worked as a child care provider. In 1969, Georgia Ann relocated to Wabash, Indiana where she became a member of the Wabash Freewill Baptist Church. She provided child care in her home and was employed at Kroger Egg and Ford Meter Box, where she retired after 17 years of service. Her son, Brian Lee, the joy of her life, was born May 15, 1970. Adding to her joy were her grandsons, Racee, Logan and Luke. On Sunday, December 4, 2005 in Indianapolis, our Heavenly Father called home this joyful spirit whose smile this world could no longer contain. She leaves to cherish her memory her son and grandsons; four sisters: Geraldine Lacey and her husband, James of Indianapolis, Wilma Banks of Indianapolis, Mary Lou Gibson-Cosby of Wabash, and Priscilla Scott and her husband, the Reverend Robert Scott of Madison; two brothers: James W. Gibson of Madison and Floyd Lee Gibson of Denver, Colorado; her extended family: Mandi and Dean Daenans of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Tracy Keller of Madison, Amber and Adam Weaver of North Manchester, Indiana, Vicki Clark of Roan, Indiana, Kristopher and Adrienne Clark of San Antonio, Texas, James E. Cosby, Jr. of Wabash, dear friends Lois Miller and Linda Mollett, both of Wabash; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents and two brothers: William A. Gibson and Harold Henry Gibson. The Reverend Robert Scott will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the Broadway Baptist Church, Madison, with interment to follow in Springdale Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the church from 11:00 AM until time of services. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2005 at the Wabash Freewill Baptist Church, 1056 Eri Street, Wabash, Indiana.
