Life story Mr. Greg D. Robbins, age 42, of Seymour, Indiana, formerly of Madison, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2005 in Shelby County, Kentucky. He was born on March 1, 1963 in Madison, the son of Graham Robbins and Dena Perry. Mr. Robbins played football at Madison Consolidated High School, where he graduated in 1982. He was self-employed in the construction industry, and was formerly employed at AISIN USA in Seymour. His memberships included the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, American Legion and Eagles Lodge, all in Seymour. He was a former crew member of the Miss Madison Racing Team for several years. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing pool, woodworking and was a University of Kentucky fan. Survivors include his wife, the former Melissa Haak; his mother, Dena Perry of Madison; his father, Graham Robbins of Hanover; four brothers: Shane Burress and Mart Perry, both of Madison, Mike Robbins of Hanover and Rick Robbins of Sellersburg, Indiana; two sisters: Shannon Doty of Madison and Julie Skinner of Hanover; his grandmother, Nora Skirvin of Madison; one sister-in-law, Vickie Melton of Madison; his mother-in-law, Betty Driskell of Madison; his father-in-law, Robert Haak of Westport, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dog, Casper. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Theman Skirvin, and Robert and Nellie (Knoebel) Robbins; and his father-in-law, John Driskel. The Reverend Robert Leach will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2005 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Springdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, September 29, 2005 and from 11:00 AM until time of services on Friday. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association. Cards are available at the funeral home.
