Life story Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Harrell-Osborn-Richardson, age 95, formerly of Madison, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Woodland Nursing Home in Arnold, Missouri. She was born on May 8, 1917 in Saint Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Charles W. and Cora Mae (Singer) Douglas. Mrs. Richardson lived in Madison during the 1940's with her late husband, Richard Harrell. She moved to St. Louis in the 1950's where she worked as a legal clerk in the St. Louis County Circuit Court. She retired from that position in 1968. In 1973, she moved to Punta Gorda, Florida where she lived until ill health forced her to be closer to family. She moved back to the St. Louis area about three years ago. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, now known as Price of Peace Catholic Church, Madison, and was very active in Our Lady of the Lights Catholic Church, Fort Meyers, Florida. Survivors include one son, Richard Harrell and his wife, Marsha of Imperial, Missouri; one daughter, Patricia Knight of St. Louis; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; three husbands: Richard Harrell in 1982, Phillip R. Osborn in 1989, and Dr. Gale Richardson in 2008; and one brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Eunice Douglas of Madison. The Reverend John Meyer will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 21, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
