Life story Mrs. Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Rohlfing, age 80, of Madison, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. She was born on November 29, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Bentley) Landis. Mrs. Rohlfing received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University and a Master's degree in teaching from the University of Cincinnati. She retired from after more than twenty years of teaching science at the Rising Sun Middle School in Rising Sun, Indiana. She also owned and operated a doll making business, the Fortunate Doll, in Milan, Indiana for many years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Madison, and enjoyed collecting antique dolls and taking quilting classes at Margie's Country Store. Survivors include two sons: Charlie Rohlfing and his wife, Kathy of Madison, and Steven Rohlfing and his wife, Fran of Georgetown, Kentucky; one sister, Lissa Quinn and her husband, Richard of Rowe, Massachusetts; and four grandchildren: Lou, Kay, Shelby and Caroline. She was preceded death by her parents; her husband, Charles Rohlfing in 2005, and to whom she was married in May 1955 in Philadelphia; and one brother, William Landis. The Reverend Dennis Ingle will conduct funeral services at 5:00 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel. Interment will be private at the Cravens Cemetery in Milan, Indiana. Friends and family may call from 3 to 5 PM Tuesday at Lytle Funeral Chapel. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the King's Daughters' Hospital Hope and Healing Campaign for the new cancer treatment center.
